I bought this nearly hundred year old machine (probably built between 1916 and 1923 or so) at auction at a good price when I went to buy another antique wood working machine. I collect them and this went low so I bought it. I have many machines, including a number of large jointers and can keep this for the collection but should probably trade it.

Though old it is in fine condition (including good Babbitt cutter head bearings, and it's extra large size (including 20 inch width and good frame and table mass) and should make it an excellent user machine. Sixteen inch jointers are much the more common size, if a shop needs larger, for any reason this machine could be a good purchase as it is both immediately usable and very much less expensive than a newer machine of this size could be.

Two knife head, long tables, all adjustments in good fit, original paint in 85 percent condition, repaired guard. Table is rusty but not pitted or otherwise damaged, was oiled by previous owner, who used it in a hobby sawmill operation and mounted it on 8 by 8 skids and powered it by a gas engine. It is a good set up, though probably a more usual one would do better. I may have an electric motor for this and could consider changing it over. The machine has a catalog weight of about 2200 pounds. I could consider delivery.

If you need a sturdy large jointer--or if you know of someone who might--this could be a good deal.

Reply via pm please, I'll speak on the telephone later.
