I'm not sure of the manuf, it may be a copy of a brierley.
220 3 phase motor
See pix of cams, several gages and parts in base.
$250 this should really be picked up.

I could crate it for additional fee, and drop it off to one of the national
carriers in Erie, pa.

Drill capacity? How about a picture of the chuck end and cabinet accessories? Are those all 2 flute cams? How much do you think to crate for shipment if no local interest?

I will go back out and take some more pix, and get you some dimensions.
As far as cams go, there are (2) with one lump, and (2) with 2 lumps.
The one lump cam does 2 flute drills.

I think about $100 would cover getting a crate from the local crate maker.

Nice enough laid out machine, copy or not. Could be Brierley is the copy...
Re-Paint tells me original, right over tags and serials. Canadian motor tag says so too. Near guarantee Anglo made, moving parts mounted individually on fabricated base is stable enough.
When I think of full-on shops that only have a bench grinder to sharp drills, and radial drill with enough power to put in a bad hole fast........
If I wasn't knee deep in my Mojave 308, be on this like white on rice.
Questions about drill capacity are valid, along with max drill length, wheel dresser, what type holder, have a manual; most of all WHEEL SIZE ID/OD/WIDTH.
Nothing sells machinery like properly detailed descriptions. Write an ad YOU want to read.
Pictures tell 1000 words, only when you know what you're looking at.

Digger, did you actually use it? Does it have everything needed for drill sharpening/point splitting?
Any idea of the shipping cost to WI, 53125?

Thanks.

Mike

Pretty sure it is a brierley. I have one, looks exactly the same. The motor is a gryphon, same as mine as well (i am in Canada, and purchased here). Pretty sure 3/4inch is the largest drill that can be sharpened. I can check the manual is needed.

I did, but not having the manual. I just did the simple 2 flute grind with no point splitting.

I'm local and could pick up, but ditto the other comments does this have everything needed to sharpen RH two flute bits from ??" to ??"? Manual? Wheels size available?

-Steve M.

I don't know, will get pix of all the stuff in the base today.

I'd agree its most likely a Brierley (the motor is a giveaway)

Most important part the cams are there.

There are several posts in the general section regarding the cam number use.
Green are right hand, Red are left hand

Wheels for the basic grind are readily available, not a special.
The web thinning wheel is not required to use the grinder, and is a little bit of a freak but is available $$

I have a partial pdf version of the manual that gives basic operation
PM me if anyone wants a copy
Once you use it a couple times , its really easy to sharpen quickly.
I haven't tried the web thinning as I don't currently have a good wheel

More pix.

I tried the biggest drill I had 1 15/64" (1.234") and it went right in, with a little wiggle space, so 1 1/4" maybe the biggest capacity.

The rod with the red ball is a steady for straight shank drills
The black oxide hollow tube to its left is for steadying MT2 & MT1 drills
