I'd compare to a used machine, service, and parts support from the manufacturer. A used AgieCharmilles, Mitsubishi, or Sodick will come with the ability to get parts and service quickly. Wire EDM has some surprising consumables outside of wire, and service. I'd view those as more important than...- burdickjp

Sorry. I used a bad choice of words that I meant to change and didn't. I've corrected it. They're not too hot to touch, but they're hot enough that changing tools is uncomfortable.- burdickjp

I've been running my Riken RTM-3 quite a bit this week and have noticed the head and tools get quite a bit warmer than I'm used to on other machines.
