I tried again and it worked. but there must be a easier way to find out where the tool is located! Is this what I have to do to each tool if I would like to double check the height offset?
I have entered and ran all the above. the end mill almost went below zero (the vise) set in G54, I had to E-stop.
I have zero in x,x,z in G52 for now and set all my tools with a 4 in Pro Touch Off Gage from Edge Technology on top of vise.

How can I view the Z position of my tool tips? When viewing my G54 work coordinates the Z height stay the same with every tool. It does not include the tool length.
