Chambering reamer piloting
Barrel I get from Lilja have chamber side marked. In the Past I had no problem getting .22LR to group 1/2" or less at 50 yards in semi-auto pistol barrels. Being NRA Precision pistol competition longest range is 50 yards there is no sense to try longer distance.- Froneck

WTB .250" thru .255" gauge pins Z
Yes I knew that McMaster had the Black Oxide pins but their shipping has went up! MSC has same pins from SPI @ $2.95 each. Pins in 1/2 thousandth because they too were only $3.69 each from Vermont I added to the list, got 5/16" tubing for handles and 5/32" square brass I needed for another job...- Froneck

What's to bore on .22LR? Pilot diameter .217" another reamer ,218". If chamber is .226" on the small side, Cutting .004"/side cut easily can start oversize! I understand so little needs to be cut rougher is not necessary but is supposedly increases the life of the finisher. And making target...- Froneck

corrosion resistant Brass or Bronze
No the knobs are brass, cut a broken knob to see what it was made of. Cover plate is thick brass sheet fit over steel backing, not lacquered nor clear coated. Laverda; was thinking about 955 bronze so I'll give it a try. -

Looking for opinions on floating reamer holders
I have a number of lathes, my go to lathe is a Hendey 1952 version 18 gear speed. Tail spindle indicates .001" high, ways are perfect.Have 3 other Hendeys and really nice P&W new Model C with also excellent ways but being 16" it's kinda big for pistol barrel work. I do have the pins but want to make a special gauge, epoxy the pins in a handle. Need 4" length but measurement area is only .5" so standard length pins will work.
