Petroleum distillates, hydrotreated light 100%
So would I select petroleum from that list? Then what material would I select?
Sorry for the delayed response, I didn’t receive any notifications.
I appreciate the help!
In my shop, there's ongoing discussion as to what is considered "flute length".
My boss defines it from the full diameter, to the end of the gullet.
Another guy defines it by the usable length.
If you look at the following Mitsubishi drill, there is a major difference between the Usable...
I do purchasing and work in the tool crib at my job, and my big bossed asked me to find a solution to matting for our rinse tank.
The current matting has turned hard, I assume from the solvent, and it is leaving scratches on the parts when they're rinsed off.
I need a 4'x3" mat, and my initial...
I'm trying to figure out a solution for my current job. We need an OD fine finish boring tool, and while I found what we needed, it's a CKB6 adapter size. That'll work for our CAT 50 machines, but we want to run it on BT-45. I have found some old BT-45 Kaiser holders, but they're a KAB6 adapter...
I'm looking at buying contact points for my indicator, and I'm wondering what the difference is between these two sets? Why is one 3x as much, for half as much from the same manufacturer?
Well hello, neighbor! I work here in Glastonbury.
I'm not going to mess with anything, but if I change L56, will it mess with anything other than the Z?
I appreciate the help.
Edit: I actually just found it in the manual. It currently measures from the tool tip, to zero, with a sign.
I run a Vortex 1060V/8, and I'm new to machining in general. However, I have a question about teaching the Z.
When we setup a fixture, we set the Z off the height of the tooling ball. This is a known dimension, say, 16.
How come when I go to teach the Z, I have to input -16, then hit teach...
Very interesting, and you may have hit on something. Whenever we make new tools from blanks, they chatter like hell and are incredibly loud. Once we regrind them though, 95% of the time they sound much better. A full sized endmill (on this job) almost always sounds terrible.
I run Ancas for...
I've been cutting/grinding for a little while now, and I've just been following the steps that I've been taught by the guy teaching me. However, after reading up on some endmills, I'm thinking that there's room to improve on the ability of these endmills, for example, using a different helix...
