I have an old ycm-VCS16 w/ an Anilam Crusader M. I spend more time coding and typing in the darn code to the controller.

Did you get a post processor to work? I was able to get a copy of mastercam X4 and need a way to communicate w/ the controller.

I did find this site: DNC software. CNC and DNC settings for Anilam Crusader II M.

The http://www.cadem.com/dnc/freednc.htm. site does not seem to have the right price any longer.

    Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Mark
I have a question on the servo tuning on an Anilam Crusader M and see you have some experience with this.

My axis's are dithering or searching and are moving about .0005" in either direction.

I have the procedure from Anilam, but some of it is not totally clear to me.

Any chance you could talk me through this?

If you can let me know. My email address is Sierevello@aol. com. It may make it a little easier to talk about it.

    Thank you... Steve
    Hi Gradstdnt_99,

I'm sending a PM as I may not be asking the correct questions with regards to this machine. I don't have any background in machining, much more on this machine as I am working in electronics industry here in Philippines (southeast asia).

The machine is still at our forwarder in NJ and had sent me some pictures. I'll just post the pictures of the machine on my reply to your earlier reply to my post.

My problem (our forwarder too) is how to rotate the head so that it will fit in the smallest crate possible. To do this, I think the ram needs to move forward so that when the head rotates, it won't hit the column.

The manual that Pat gave me doesn't match the machine that we bought. I hope your machine is similar to mine.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Regards,
