Look at what the local load is for one tire on a large truck. I think you’ll find it’s much higher than you need for this machine... -
Use tapping paste or heavy oil. Chamfer first to rough. Feed fast and don't dwell, as in feed fast to a depth on the handwheel and back...

Yes it can but the tool bit is a 25mm square HSS and the machine is rigid. You re basically scraping on a lathe.
