On the plus side you really don't need to worry about reversing the leads ruining anything. Since all the motors are already running in reverse you have already wired it wrong and all the damage is done. Changing them would only fix it now.
Nice lathe. I wouldn't trade my Series 62 for a 613 they are a bit lighter built. The part I am jealous of is the toolroom lathes had a micrometer dial on the tailstock. Mine does not have that. Sadly I don't think I could ever find a scrapped one to steal it off of.

Damn, about a year too late. I had a TD-6B for about 10 years and sold it last year. Had the original manual but sent it along with the new owner. I do have a picture of the electrical box if that is a help at all. It is all original as you can probably tell from the picture. Mine was the 2...
Nah, you just have to show up and put money in their hand and get a bill of sale. Then it's yours and you work out moving it. It's not like they are going to be able to walk away with it. They will bitch and moan but there is no casually moving one of those so it's not going anywhere.
JR was great to deal with and said he had 7 buildings there all filled with parts. At the time, about 9 years ago, they weren't taking credit cars and I had to do a whole send a check certified mail thing which wasn't fun. I assume they can process credit cards now I hope.
Also the prices were...
Ok, I am going to get a ton of hate for saying this but what the hell. If you want to learn Fusion 360 in a very hands on practical way to run a CNC mill go follow the Titans of CNC classes. The old very first ones that were Fusion360 and not MasterCam.
There is a video for CAD by one guy, and...
There is more to this than just cast iron vs steel. As Boslab alluded to there are LOTS of different flavors of cast iron. My Cincinnati Milling Machine catalog for the horizontal mills brags on using 14 !!! different grades of cast iron in one of their mills. I am guessing the cast for the...
It really depends on what type of CNC. I have a little 3D printer. I draw a model in cad. Move the .stl to a slicer, and just hit the slice button. Then hit the convert to g-code button. If it doesn't print like I want, I tweak settings, re-slice and export g-code again. I never have to touch...
I don't know what to say. I would be at a complete loss as to how to deal with that. Heartbreaking. Just keep moving forward, it's all you can do. Hope things turn out for the best.
Well I have a ADX20 might just be a AR20 or something. I don't recall, a 20hp RPC from American Rotary. I run a 20hp Monarch Series 62. It's no mill so it has to spin up a bunch metal to get going. It takes a few seconds and I have to hold the button until I can hear it catch, usually after...
Scott took a bunch of phone calls from me trying to fix the hydraulic shifting problem on my Series 62. Can't say how much he helped and was friendly the whole time. Fantastic guy and service from Monarch.
Wow, I suck and missed this question 6 months ago. Thankfully someone 'liked' it and it sent me back here to finally answer.
Monarchs description of the function of the air/hydraulic tracer advantage was like something like this. A pure hydraulic system has lag from the fluid sitting still...
The stuff between Donie and Thermite was over the top. It seemed to explode instantly out of nowhere.
As to Thermite, my biggest gripe about him by far was the signal to noise ratio. I don't have unlimited time and reading five long wordy paragraphs to get to the one sentence of good...
