    Concerned About Miller Quality

Matt, Would that also apply to a non-squarewave TIG 300/300 as well ? Thanks.

    Need Advice on Silver Brazing

See if you can source some of the proper, " old style " flux and wire containing cadmium. I talked to some producers at the last Essen welding show about problems such as you describe and they confirmed that cadmium containing products are still made, at least in eurostan, but only supposed...

    Raw Material marking

An engraving tool can work as well ; Dykem both ends and threaten physical violence to anyone who puts any material back in the rack with both marked ends gone!! On long lengths I would also wrap duct tape around the tube/bar in two places and write the number on it with a magic marker...

    Fuel rail....TIG, solder, or braze

I'd second that suggestion, if you decide go the solder route. Here in eurostan, the good silver solders (those containing cadmium) are only commercially available to the aviation industry.

    Roller Bearing Fit

Why not use a bearing with greater than normal radial clearance, like a C3 or C4, which are common spec bearings in car and bike engines, where you have a interference fit for both races. Then there's the option to locate the shaft in one ball race and have a parallel roller on the opposite end...

Why leave a brether hole when welding structural tubing?

Your post made me search ( as I was curious about how repairs were made on an oil preserved structure ) and I found this ; Corrosion Protection Method for Welded Steel Tube Structures - Aircraft engineering - Eng-Tips One advantage of drilling breather holes in TIG welded tube structures for...

    Unibit Stepbit conspiracy theory

Many thanks MattiJ. I've use the Hougen Rotabroach cutters in the smaller sizes but they are not easy to find in the larger diameters in Europe.

Hi MattiJ, Could you please provide a link to the manufacturer of those cutters.

    Welding/brazing copper problems

If you are using cadmium free silver solder and flux, that could be a problem. I've found using that crap even on normal type jobs that they are vastly inferior to the old cadmium content products and the flux will form an oxide very easily if the part gets too hot. gbent's suggestion is good...

    Thin wall tube bending issues.

I've never used a mandrel tube bender. All I could suggest is research a recommended lubricant for Ti mandrel bending. A MoS 2 based anti-seize ?

    Distortion problems in perforated shelves

Would it be feasible to make a perimeter frame from square steel tubing with diagonals corner to corner and pop rivet the shelves to the frame ? What temperature are the shelves seeing ?
