Hello Kyle,
I saw your post about large lathes and noticed that you are in Fort Wayne too.
I've been here for 3 years now and am retired but make some fixtures for
bamboo fly rod makers. I make Planing forms that are used to plane a taper
on small bamboo strips to be glued up into a hexagonal blank to be used as
a fly rod.
I am contacting you to see if you know of a shop in town that has Grinding
capability to grind mild steel bars that are 3/4" th. x 1 1/2" wide x 72" long.
I only need the 1 1/2" w x 72" long faces ground.
These bars are actually 2 3/4 sq. bars joined with dowels and cap screws.
I am currently flat filing these faces to level off the two sides to finish.

Any help on finding a shop that has these capabilities would be appreciated.
