    Unknown tooling with mini lathe

So a lathe made by atlas but labeled by craftsman is prohibited? I deleted the picture but anyways are these knurling tools? Some of them don’t make sense for that purpose

    Unknown tooling with mini lathe

I acquired a mini lathe the other day and it has some strange tooling in the bucket of miscellaneous lathe tooling and was curious if anyone had a idea of what it is. It looks like some of them would be for roll forming but most of them had a pattern on them like a knurling tool for a lathe...

    End mill holder question

Everything I can find on the mill is that is was a horizontal mill. There are no markings whatsoever On the vertical head. It runs true and has no slop in it so I’m gonna play with it while I can. I have no money invested in it so I can’t really loose anything if It doesn’t work out

Buck 3 jaw chuck out of whack

I recently acquired a leblond 14” lathe and finally got to play with it. I was going to make a new end mill holder for my mill until I clamped a piece of 2” steel in the lathe and spun it by hand and seen how far out it was. With no work in the chuck and the chuck tight one of the three jaws...

OT: I'm thinking about putting an addition on by building. Where do I get started?

I build pole barns for a living. Contact a contractor to get a quote. Most do free quotes. If you get a quote that suits your budget contact the town and meet them with a google maps image or hunting app with property lines and draw your building on it with measurements to the lines. As far...

New to forum in search of knowledge on old equipment

I kind of figured it was flat belt originally. This one has been retrofitted to electric. I think the vertical attachment has a 2hp motor on it. I could see where there was a motor mounted on the left side for the horizontal but it’s gone. Thanks for all the help

I never would have guessed the vertical part was made or the machine that old . The horizontal motor is gone which isn’t a big deal for me as I don’t see myself using the horizontal a whole lot. Hi many hp would run the horizontal shaft originally or was it flat belt driven? It has a double...
