Mine is a 2011 model, so 12 years of good work. Haas did a great job to send me a new drive in only 2 days since I live in a rural area and most of Haas employees were on vacation, and they said the drive was out of stock.
Thanks again for your help.
Unplug all cables like you said, and the 2 other drives were booting normally.
Installed a new drive and everything work great.
Thanks for your help. Jeff
Ok, removed the transmission cable from the Y axis and the state of the drive stay the same, no led, red and green.
Will call the reseller to buy a new drive.
Your help is really appreciated, Jeff
We can't see the servo drive for the spindle, it is outside the picture. Same as the other axis, but it is 45 AMP.
I'll try with to unplug the communication cable and turn on the mill, will see.
Thanks again, Jeff.
Thanks for the reply. I had to change the spindle drive 2 times, the first time, I called Haas, so they could send a tech. Same $100.00/hour for the ride and $150.00 when he was working on the machine (+ the price for the drive). The nearest dealer is 5 hours away, so the bill was astronomic...

Set tool length as you would do for any tool.
Note this number.
Next time, measure the top of the part and take the length of the probe minus the machine position in Z next to the operator...
See what Face book did to our world.
Only a couple of years back, women were bitching and crying like a lot of members here.
Today, men are exactly like that, crying about someone not following the sacred rules. Oh my god, he does not follow the rule, Oh my god, you should go to a hobby forum...
You will get into trouble with this job.
This is the kind of work that no companies will want to bid on.
No chuck or collet will hold this part. You have about 0.070 to hold the part and it is hardened A2. Damage parts, damage tools, and collets.
And 50,000 parts in a couple of weeks, BS This...
