hello... my name is Andrew I am a new member (logged in today) I am curious to know regarding the machining of aluminium which is initially of a caste block. I want to know if it's okay to machine aluminium caste block as per the machine drawing of a gripper bar , this is for the die cutting machine (Sugano NF 1000 - YOM -1991) as a strategy to replace the original shell. The shell can be purchased but I feel it's very costly since I have to import it. There are foundries which provide casted aluminium blocks as well as cnc millers who pocess the machining capabilites. should I make an attempt to fabricate it or should I go for the buy decision?
