I think if your looking for a profile as such you will have to have it made. Or stitch one yourself.

I agree with others, some of the old brands were very good, Rockwell, Black and Decker ,Jet etc.
I have an old B&D 3/4 HP circa 1960's and its as good as any grinder Ive had.
And as stated before if its shaking its not likely the grinder itself.
Ive seen those big 3 phase grinders go cheap here...
My brake is set so that as soon as you tap it the motor cuts, Im sure its either adjustment or as you say glazing.
Get someone to look as you apply the brake and. see whats going on.
I also have a Victor Lathe, when I got it the brake sucked, took the shoes to a reline shop and adjusted it.
Could be adjustment, worn shoes or faulty linkage. Or grease or oil soaked shoes.
The shippers probably refused because its likely to get delivered in pieces.
I suppose if you crated it with some good packing, lie and say its a rock and take your chances ?
