Does anyone have a copy of Dougs Unique 3 Phase or his DVDs that they could sell me.. I am a student and cannot afford nearly £50 just for 130 pages of paperback. Thats two weeks rent for me and 1/10th of one of my 3 yearly grants which has to cover my rent and food.

you seem to know your plasma cutters so i shall ask you this, with the help of pics.. The machine is doing everything but arc'ing. its a plasmaking 25 by clarke. Im getting continuity through the looped circuit of the gun trigger but only in two halfs, it doesnt have continuity as a complete...
Just a quick one for some swift advice.
I was of the belief that testing voltages on a pcb when checking DC voltages you test to ground? that being the ground of the case where all the other green/yelow wires are bolted to.
Problem is im not showing any voltages on a particular plasma cutter pcb...
doing everything other than arcing.. new tips, done nothing. so i opened torch and noticed their isnt and continuity between switch wires, brown and white. the brown seems fine from machine to torch. the switch is fine.
What is confusing me is? Is there supposed to be something within the tip...
my main question was really "would the laminations of this be a good suitable donor for me to wind my own transformer? ive got plans for this from Unique 3 Phase and ive not looked at them too deeply just yet im just lo for a suitable transformer to do the project
thats what i found strange seeing that yellow plug, but it does say on the plate which i included the picture that its deff a 3phase to 220v single phase step down transformer....... i shall delve deeper though

could you pls help me.. ive bought a steam cleaner at auction with a warnin sticker stating "Tripping breaker when plugged in" lso ive noticed on the 240v single phase motor that its got so hot at some point it metled the capacitor somewhat..
So I strippedout the motor to do some troubleshooting...
