5 Axis Machining Center with swivel head

The Hurco VMX42SRTi has a swivel-head 'B' axis, and a rotary 'C' axis. Probably not the model ideally suited for your application. There is a model, the VMX42SWi, that maintains the 'B' axis swivel head, but gives you the choice of adding your own (or purchasing from Hurco) an 'A' OR a 'C'...

    Winmax 9 Tool offsets

    Setting up a Hurco VM!

There's a Hurco user put together a web-site for quick "Getting Started" - start there: HURCONOTES.COM (not affiliated with Hurco, but a good starting point!) Your control is likely DOS, but sequence of events is same as Windows control.

    Opinions on Hurco machining centres?

Certainly Hurco is not always the best fit. In many cases, it is. All depends on what a user hopes to accomplish. I learned a long time ago that, though I don't know the secret to success, the secret to failure is trying to keep everybody happy. dstryr, sounds like maybe you are having...

    Opinions on Hurco machining centres?

Couldn't agree more. Been with Hurco 8 years, love the company, love the product. Hate the brochure(s). I will say they are better than they used to be, but continues to be a work in progress

    Opinions on Hurco machining centres?

I don't understand "light". Actually the machines are now a darker shade of gray. BTW - is this the Douglas Rizzo/Training Coordinator for Doosan?

Here is a HASS vs Makino vid I ran across.

Not getting defensive, just curious: what bs-ing has Hurco done in their ads? We spec just like everyone else does (except maybe the other H brand you mentioned), and are transparent regarding peak/continuous, etc. Maybe you have seen something of which I am not aware.......?
