The machine has a 1 HP motor, so it would handle the cut. The problem would be in holding the cutter. This machine has a Morse #2 internal tape and a SIP 2e external taper so you would need to make your own fly cutter. I would use pre heat treated 4140. As for the which gear cutter to use you can get a gear tooth gage. or you can measure the gear, number of teeth, OD, and a measurement with some pins setting down between the teeth and then do the math to work out the correct gear cutter. Or you could measure... -
