    I was going to say could be a random funky roll of wire. Brian beat me to it. Bottom line, it's EDM. It throws curve balls at you sometimes.

    When does NET30 start?

    I do work for a few large companies. FOB origin and Invoice has date the work was completed. Usually ends up around Net40 ish. A few places I do work for only process payments 1x a month so things get stretched sometimes.

    Most edm machines you need to burn Z deeper by the overburn when you pickup on the machine chuck. Are you saying your machine used to but doesn't anymore? Are you burning deeper by overburn?

    Sorry I didn't get my point across properly. I wasn't comparing it to the other controls, I just meant in general the control will be slow machining. Especially if 3d contouring is what its being used for.

    It won't be harder. It will definitely be slower. If your good with that then it will do you just fine.

    I have an OM-D on my Sharp sv2412. Machine is 20 years old and still making parts. Just backup the parameters and change battery's and start making parts.

    Turning the gas off while the apprentices were learning to tig weld without them knowing was always good for a laugh.

    Fanuc O-MD control making bad finish

    I suggested G08 P1 as its the only one my OMD machine recognizes. Without that lookahead the machine shakes and is jerky. Unusable without. What cutter path style are you using in Power Mill to finish? Raster? On my older OMD I use .001" tolerances, any tighter really slows it down.

    Try G08 P1 turning the lookahead on. I can't run my OMD without that. What tolerance do you have on your cutter paths?

    Wow that's definitely a long time to sit. If my wire has sat for 3or4 days I generally fill the tank run the jets, feed the wire, etc.. keeps it happy. Well somewhat happy anyhow lol
