    for your vents you can use oversized ducts lined with rockwool. the longer the duct the greater the sound absorbing even then it's straight.

    getting a snug fit end tapping aluminum extrusion

    add a loose bushing around your screw shank so not to transmit any torque to the screw. ie a loose fit on both the screw and the rotating part.

    and this was a factory tool and was dedicated to channel punching. all channel cutting was on the saw. all sheet metal and plate is laser cut. the parts that used to be channel were redesigned as laser cut and bent for more precision which opened up other design options
