Swapping drivetrain in an old Hyster...
I don't know anything about forklift transmissions, but I'm thinking that putting a drivetrain in from a vehicle that could hit 100 mph seems odd. I know the wheels are smaller, but........ What am I missing here ? Bob- Overland

The customer is early 20's, married, 2 kids and has set up shop in his attached single garage on a subdivision. He has a Fadal in there, a very clean BP clone, tool boxes, electric forklift (hand push) for loading stuff in his truck, and now a nice clean lathe. He seems to be doing well doing...- Overland

The photos you guys have posted are a different kind of trailer. On the one he rented, the whole deck and drawbar were one piece. The axle twisted for the whole trailer to drop down to the deck, between the wheels, with a very low ramp angle. My only reservation with Sunbelt is that their site...- Overland

I sold a Victor 1640 lathe yesterday and the guy came with a Sunbelt trailer. Lathe weighs around 3,600 lbs. Sorry no pics, but it did happen ! Is it reasonable to buy a Colchester Dominion 13 without a "test drive" / powering up test ?
I picked up a 1972 Harrison M540, same as Colchester 21 x 80, from a machine builder in Harrisburg PA. It was one of a pair ! Back in 2020. The seller was part of Parker-Hannifin and they were closing this location. At the sale was a big bed grinder and beautiful HBM. My lathe came with 12"... -

Alro, one of the local suppliers has hot rolled M1044 for about $0.50 /lb, whereas 4140 is more than twice the price and only available as cold finished. I'm thinking 1044 will be fine. Bob -

Gary, I was at my customer today. He has an automatic machine that makes 500 new pallets a day, and he also repairs over 1,000 pallets a day. He grinds the scrap wood up and has a big "sausage stuffer" that creates 50 feet long, 12" diameter erosion control "sausages". He has a bigger grinder...
