    Auto body stamping dies

Wouldn't that be a, "rebodied", car? That's a huge no-no in the restoring purist community. Not that I personally care. Im a Mopar fanatic and fender tags can be reproduced IF one can supply a roached original. BTW - I've never heard the word, "cabbaged" used in that manner. Can you explain...

    Flap wheel price

Flap wheel disks seem to always glaze, or "wear out", way before the abrasive flaps are even close to being consumed IME. WHY? Anyway, try looking at the grainger, "clearance" site. Not just for flap wheels. I've gotten crazy cheap prices on it for various things and there is often a lot of...

What's involved with making a gas block adjustable?

Sorry I'm such a dumbass. I thought the screw adjusted bleed off and not simply restriction. It seems, to me, that an adjustable block is a really good modification especially for reloads snd, "non standard", loads.

What's involved with making a gas block adjustable?

I am looking to make my AR gas blocks adjustable. I've read of people drilling & tapping for a set screw but I don't see how this will help adjust the gas pressure. What am I missing? Thanks

That's exactly how the one that was stolen was built. I didn't have any more.

OT-butt join 1/2" fiberglass solid rod

This pole will be for a secondary stake pole for positioning my kayak. It will be plunged into thick mud and have a fair amount of bending stress so it got to behave like a single piece. A sleeve seems like the #1 option.

OT-butt join 1/2" fiberglass solid rod

Im not against using a thin wall joint wrap but finding one has proven to be a problem. I've never turned a thin walled part on my lathe but maybe I'll give it a try.

OT-butt join 1/2" fiberglass solid rod

I need to make a stake pole for kayak fishing. Someone stole mine. I have 2 40" pieces of 1/2 solid round fiberglass rod that I'd like to butt join together. I'd prefer to not use any type of coupling and join the 2 rods with a reliable pin/dowel. How should I make the distance I drill into the...

Air compressor recommendations for home shop

Personally I'd vote for a used, USA made, TRUE 5hp compressor. I have 2 compressors in my shop. One is an IR 30 gallon that was very noisy and the motor blew. I replaced the motor with a 1725 rpm Baldor motor so it's much quieter but, of course, comes up to pressure slower. The other is a very...

    Reloading 6.5 Grendel cost

Personally I don't consider reloading "fun". I will be looking for a price on 1k Grendel rounds.

    Reloading 6.5 Grendel cost

One of the main reasons I decided on the gren, beside getting a crazy good deal, is the accuracy and dynamics of this round. If the G men come to take my "stuff" they won't know where the warning shots came from😉

    Reloading 6.5 Grendel cost

Does it make economical sense to reload 6.5 Grendel? I have everything press wise other than the dies but it seems that factory rounds are somewhat on par cost wise.

Things to ask asphalt driveway contractor?

180 for the concrete alone. That again to pour & finish. Sand is everywhere here but the amount of building that's going on must drive the price. And I don't even live in an area where the business is controlled by the mob.

    Should I become a machinist?

Find a clean shop because you will (and should) start by pushing a broom, cleaning coolant troughs, removing chips and so on. Keep your head down & your mouth shut and YOU MAY be rewarded with someone that sees some dedication and promise who will begin to show you the ropes. Don't do anything...
