Possibly, I'm not sure. The main wire types I'm familiar with is the THHN, THWN, UF, and Romex wires. Does that #10 have any markings on it? I'm not familiar with the wire that's connected to the 7.5 idol motor, the insulation is THICK on it, I thought it was #10 until I looked closer and... -

I did get to pull the table collar apart and clean and apply new grease to the bearings. No rust but the old grease was dried and clumpy, so I put the ball bearings in a cup of cleaner and got them shiny again. -

Well, I'm tired of waiting for the stainless steel louvers for this project. The only louvers we are running lately are the wrong size and are way too big and we're pretty busy here so I'll have to come up with something else. Sorry but no progress on it yet. Thanks everyone for the help so... -

Thank you, I wouldn't really call it a machine shop lol. It's just a small shop out back where I do metal work sometimes. I think the 7.5 hp is going to be plenty for whatever I need it for, the drill press is only 3/4 & 1 1/2 hp and the little shop is going to be about filled up. The press... -

Thank you again, so I'll need to make a cover to completely cover the top and maybe even drop down on the sides just a bit. Maybe a full cover on the front with louvers on it....... We do some stainless steel at work with louvers similar to the picture. Thanks again!!!! -

The good news is that 10 AWG is still easy to work with 😁........unless it's romex and you are putting it in a 20 amp run with a small receptacle box, which I have done before...... -

North American's spec sheet calls for 10 AWG on the 3 phase. Guess I'll be using that to wire the motor with, 10 year warranty on the panel, don't know if 12 AWG would delete the warranty. -

I think a cage sounds good, I'll be sure to ground anything not welded to the cage. I have a few pieces of 3x3 1/4 wall tubing that should be a good start. Also have some rubber bushings for large compressors that should help with the noise........ heavy cage and rubber bushings might make it... -

Joe, I bought a big package of those ground screws and I remember them being self tapping, I needed quite a few because I kept some of these old light fixtures in this old house when I ran new wire and the old fixtures didn't even have a ground originally. Now I have to remember where I put... -

Rob, I'll have to cut them out regardless because as of right now it's wired for high voltage. Unfortunately there's not much between the tags and the crimped connectors so yeah I'll have to save all the wiring I can. Tight fit for sure and I'm going to leave it as is until I get the correct... -

Joe, there was no green screw under the cover at all but I circled in this picture a hole without a screw in it that I THINK a ground would go. Just above it you can see a D, I didn't get it all in the picture but above the hole is GND I'm guessing for ground, there's also another hole with GND... -

Well,I figured I'd use the same wire that came with the motor but I figured wrong lol. Notice the 460v written on the motor........well, 460v calls for 9.7 amps so this came with 14 AWG and the 230v calls for 19.4 amps so I need to get 12AWG or bigger and I think I'll probably go with at least...
