Why all the animosity towards Titan and others like him?

Or the same people who think John Saunders is awesome.

Why all the animosity towards Titan and others like him?

I was looking at some of the educational videos on multiaxis and the ones that Jessie did are some of the best, most complete instructional videos I've ever seen as far as Mastercam goes. He goes into great detail about the what and why about some of these toolpaths. So, I'd take Titan's YouTube...

Mastercam Surfaces: in need of Overflow UV help

In that case, you can create a surface that covers that hole by using wireframe around the edge of the hole, and add that surface as a drive surface.

    Ideal BT30 Aluminum Finisher?

Most definitely. Unless I'm doing 5 pcs or less in aluminum I always have dedicated roughing and finishing end mills. The rougher just might for some reason develop a tiny nick in the cutting edge but still runs fine. It will show on the finish.

How many of y'all LOVE your Haimer 3D Tester?

Yeah they are very similar. We've had this one for almost 4 years, use it multiple times per day and it's still in perfect working condition. Had the H&S for about the same time it was great also until one of the operators decided to send it full rapid in Z, down on to the part. It didn't work...

How many of y'all LOVE your Haimer 3D Tester?

We have an Haimer and a Rego-Fix. Both are great. The Rego-Fix body isn't as bulky and allows us to get into smaller spaces. Price was surprisingly good, cheaper than the H&S. If I had to buy another one it would be the Rego-Fix and I usually don't buy their overpriced stuff. Rumor has it that...

tapping mild steel sheet metal - cutting vs forming tap

I wouldn't use a tap wrench. Hand drill, Tapping arm, or even a bridgeport would be much, much faster and easier on the operator.

    Close tolerance Zero Point/Fixturing recommendations

Pocket change lol. Our Koma RWB-320 was more than those 2 put together. It's a behemoth and a sloth with a 15" 3 jaw chuck and a 120mm thru bore.

Insert seat damage when turning copper

Has the tool been smashed or has the tool had an insert bust while cutting and damaged the seat area? Take a small needle file and/or stone and go over the seat area to make sure there isn't any raised edges causing this to happen.

Mastercam Surfaces: in need of Overflow UV help

I've never been good with surfaces. I highly suggest posting this question on the official forums, here: https://my.mastercam.com/forums/forum/customer-forum/

10 parts a day feels like heavy production? And you're only 35?

    Ideal BT30 Aluminum Finisher?

No, but this tool was taking big, fast cuts all day every day for a long time and it looked new. The person I was quoting said that he hasn't had the YG-1 Alu-Power hold up for him. Or something to that affect. I don't understand why. Damn near every end mill designed for aluminum has held up...

    Ideal BT30 Aluminum Finisher?

Not in my experience. I have a 3/4 necked 3 flue Alu-Power that has roughed a ton of 7075 aluminum at full flute length and about a 30% stepover, just ripping that material off. Still looks brand new after 3 months of cutting.

What is the most enjoyable field of CNC to you?

Refining a program to run as efficient as it possibly can. I don't often get to do that because of 1-5pc parts most of the time though. That and hogging steel and hearing those chips hit the door. That will never not be fun.

Terminalogy for 3+2 CNC milling machines

No modifying at all, that goes into the spindle like every other Cat-V tool holder does.

    Ideal BT30 Aluminum Finisher?

YG-1 Alu-Power Garr Alumastar Sandvik Duramill WhisperKut Never tried Destiny Viper but I've used their Diamondback end mills in our Speedio with great success. You can't go wrong with either of these.

Terminalogy for 3+2 CNC milling machines

So you want a 3 axis VMC, with one of these in the spindle perhaps? https://www.bigdaishowa.com/en/products/angle-heads-speed-increasers/universal-type-angle-heads
