    FS: 2 Buck/Hardinge 5" Chucks with 4 degree HLV taper - 3 jaw Tru-Adjust and 4 jaw

That sounds reasonable, i'll PM you So, I've been cutting parts on my HLV for maybe 4 years. I've flipped around 4j chuck jaws countless times. Yet, at 9pm after a scotch when writing the post, I think I went on autopilot and did some copy-pasting. I'll fix the post, thanks for pointing it out.

Should I power my HLV-H clone with a RPC?

Not like you needed more convincing, but I also happily run an HLV and series I off a 5hp American Rotary.

    FS: 2 Buck/Hardinge 5" Chucks with 4 degree HLV taper - 3 jaw Tru-Adjust and 4 jaw

FS: 2 Buck/Hardinge 5" Chucks with 4 degree HLV taper - 3 jaw Tru-Adjust and 4 jaw Garage cleanout, looking at maybe selling these chucks that came with my HLV. Let's get this out of the way - no outer jaws for the 3jaw chuck, just the inner jaws. The previous owner lost them I guess. They...

    WTB Royal Quick-Change Endmill/Collet Holders

I have NIB Royal QC tool body, but none of the tool holders. I do want to use the body, but at $250-450 a pop for the tool holders, I really can't justify tooling this out new. This is a shot in the dark, but I'm hoping someone might have a used set I could actually afford to use. Thanks!

Mill head rebuild help/contractor in the SF Area

Hi all. I couldn't figure out where to post this, but here seemed appropriate. I bought a Lagun FTV-2 a while ago and the upper head is starting to get really rattly and noisy. It's way overdue for a top end rebuild. I have the parts, and know that it's DIYable, but I have some mobility issues...

Multifix Toolpost on HLV - 1/2" or 5/8" Shank?

Hi everyone. I want to get a multifix-style toolpost and am trying to size up the proper shank sizes for my new HLV. The SPi catalog says that, for A-size toolposts, the min height between top of compound and spindle center is 1 1/8". This assumes a 3/4" shank tool. The HLV spindle center...

RFQ - Easy Tolerance Turned+Milled part

Silly mistake on my end. I was still waking up when I drafted that, and I'm NOT a morning person :D. Updated the OP.

RFQ - Easy Tolerance Turned+Milled part

Hello PM community. Seems like I've finally designed a part that requires either a 4ax lathe, or on a machine with better fixturing capabilities than I have on my 3ax mill. I have a few quotes from local shops, but I'm wondering what PM's awesome community has to offer. It's a turned + milled...
