    5" G&L horizontal boring mill

What pops out is the feed handle for the x axis. I believe it has a positive drive clutch kind of like a toothed coupling that engages when you move the feed handle left or right.. We checked it out and I'm pretty sure the table has to come off to repair it.

    5" G&L horizontal boring mill

We have a 5" G&L boring mill at work that the x axis feed lever pops out when a heavy part is on the table. I believe something is worn out with the x axis feed engagement clutch. Does anyone know what needs to be taken apart to get in there to replace this. Do we have to take the table off? I...

Using tool comp for reground tools.

My real question is what to enter on the tool page. It has a place for tool size and this can only be a 2 place decimal. It has another column that says actual tool size. Say I put .50 in the first column and .470 in the second. Will it automatically comp for the smaller tool.

Using tool comp for reground tools.

The parts we are milling start out as square tubing and we have to prifile 2 sides which cuts the 4th side off and cutting in and out of the scale seems hard on the endmill. It usually wears the side more than the end.

How can we use tool comp to allow for the regrind. The program has some helical moves where it is moving all 3...

    Large cable drum in cnc

I don't type any of the start points. Bobcad generates them. My boss probably wouldn't spring for the cad softeare.

    Large cable drum in cnc

Once I draw the starting points bobcad spits out all the coordinates. The only programming I did by hand was the sub program. I made a custom cycle in bobcad and it posts all the coordinates with a next line of M98 Q1234.
