    Thanks. i figured it would have fallen under "USA light iron" category. The part number you sent me is for a 1" wide, toothed, "timing belt", which I did suspect might be my first problem. Our saw is running 1/2" wide V belts.

    An excellent update I'm sure, but a VFD and a new motor I'm sure cost more than the belts. I don't mind some noise from the reeves, but the slop and vibration are clearly incorrect lengths and not the standard noise.

    We've got a DoAll 16-2 at work, circa 1958. We bought it used and the original belts were worn so we replaced with the same parts but they've never felt right. The speedometer and manual suggest the saw should run to 1500sfm yet ours can barely make it to 1000. Not to mention we get horrible...
