I agree, The 100 is likely pounds so 100K, that was my guess on weight, still a 9-10 axle move. It looks to be easily in the 90-100K weight range.- Steve in SoCal

If that zoom-boom with tracks weighs that much it needs a 9-10 axle truck/trailer to move it. A trailer for that would be over half a million itself. Then the whole process of moving it from jobsite to jobsite. If it was built for a particular location then it may be just what is...- Steve in SoCal

The taper that I got had the bar and the block is part of the casting unless it was lost? The bar would not be hard to duplicate worst case. The block is nothing special either just some bar stock. South Bend and many older lathes used "plain taper attachments' these had the long screw you mention. Telescoping taper attachments use a splined screw that allows the cross-slide to follow the taper when the taper bar is locked to the cross-slide.- Steve in SoCal

10EE T-slot cross slide
There were never T-slots BUT, there was a dovetail to mount a tool post on some cross-slides. Several folks have made dovetails to mount on the cross-slide then have a t-slot plate on the dovetail? Here is a bad pic of a dovetail on my lathe.- Steve in SoCal

Identifying Monarch Drive
If there is a VFD in a JIC cabinet on an older 10EE then it has an AC motor and drive. There are some good and some bad, HP and how the motor is installed along with control integration. The motor should be at least 5 HP and use the Monarch gear box to have some torque at lower speeds...- Steve in SoCal

60's model 10EE knob and handle plating
To add, The matte chrome finish on the dials is I think, hard chrome not decorative or 'triple chrome plate. The same process that is used on measuring tools like mic barrels etc. The mil thickness may impact the dial when replated? Triple chrome is copper, nickel then, chrome.- Steve in SoCal

Converting a 20" I/M lathe to 30"
It is not as heavy as it may seem. I actually weighed the bed to be sure it WAS under the cranes rating. The 20" bed weighs right at 500 pounds, the 30" is 600 Cranes are such a game changer, I am doing stuff I could never have done by myself.- Steve in SoCal
