I ended up with a new(er) DV-59 recently but it needs spindle bearings.
Anyone able to date this from the serial number DV-59-13680?
It is definitely the "new" style with only 2 bearings, and it has the newer DC brake compared to the AC unit on my old DSM.
I am about to pull the spindle to try...

I recently purchased a pile of W20 collets to use in an old Waltham thread mill. When they arrived I was surprised to see that they all seem to be made by Schaublin (the ad didn’t say). Anyway there are two different kinds and I’m wondering if the experts here can tell me what I’ve ended up...
I’ve got a pile of these things and all I know is that they convert gage outputs to RS-232. One of them is apparently a multiplexer for multiple gages. Oh and they are ancient. The fellow who gave them to me said he used them with mitutoyo micrometers and drop indicators.
PM me if you want them.
I went through my collection and pulled dupes. Please post here with what you are interested in. All prices plus USPS flat rate shipping. Paypal goods/services prefered, but almost anything legal is accepted. I might be interested in trading 1-for-1 for MT3/4 drill sizes I don't have so if you...

Lot of tooling for an unknown T&C grinder. there are a few nice work stop...
I recently acquired a well used but usable DV-59.
It can with a decent amount of (also well used) tooling, but much of it was disassembled and I am trying to get all the parts together so I can get it running.
I have 2 questions (so far):
1. I am combining two parts collet closers to make one...
I took two junk units and combined them into one working unit. it checks out OK to the best of my ability, but the dial is hard to read. Anyone have a busted unit with a good dial they would sell for cheap?
I’ll post a picture of what I’m looking for when I can get to my laptop.
(damn I hate...
I am sure this has happened to many of you and I don't need to explain, but after a recent auction I have a lot of square head set screws.
A lot.
Anyone interested in a small flat rate USPS box full shipped for $20?
It would include a random assortment of various lengths and sizes from 1/4 up...
I have acquired an old Waltham thread milling machine that is missing all its change gears.
If you have any odd gears sitting around I would be interested.
I would be happy with any thickness/material/ID since don't want to spend a ton of money and I would need to modify them to work anyway.
I...
As the title says, I am searching for jaws for a 5" Hardinge 3 jaw chuck (Model 30A-HCX).
I would really be happy to get both inside and outside jaws, but since at the moment I have none at all, I will take what I can get.
Also, if you have one of these chucks and wouldn't mind taking some...
Not sure if this belongs here or in the antique section but I purchased this small lathe and am looking for help identifying it.
I guess it does not matter that much who made it, but I would like to try and disassemble it for cleaning and a name might help turn up some drawings.
There was once a...
I am in the midst of rebuilding a B&S 510.
The machine saw a lot of heavy use, and either the previous owners were very creative or it might even be some kind of franken-grinder since there some odd things about it.
Anyway, the motor it came with was a GE TFEC 480V 3450RPM 1HP 3PH 56 frame with...
I was hoping to adapt this to fit my lathe but it's just never going to happen.
It has made many parts, but I went through it completely and cleaned out all the old coolant and chips and it still works well.
1" bores, one of which looks to have been repaired after a crash. They did a good job...
I picked up this Starrett gage which is (I think) a No. 57. Feel free to correct me. :D
It was at an estate sale in a plastic bag for $5 and it looked old if well cared for.
Unfortunately the little rope knurled adjustment screw is broken off.
I am assuming that modern replacement would look...

Like the title says, does anyone know for sure how to remove the dial from an old height gage. I need to repair it and would rather not trash the bezel since Mitutoyo does not appear to have parts for this old guy.
