Thanks for the pointer to K11 and the NSI board. That should give me a place to start. I already removed each board and pressed on the socketed ICs. I'll try that again, however.
Thanks
Arg! I forgot that PC refers to the high voltage cabinet not the personal computer. Thanks
Yep, I know. That is why I initially suspected a driver update on the Mini PC but the fact that it behaves the same with my workstation that has native com ports seems to eliminate that possibility. I...
I've had my FP2NC with Dialog 4 for quite awhile since I got it from Ross maybe 8 years ag. File transfer has been working fine the whole time. I use DNC4U to transfer files from either my PC with a native com port or a small mini PC using a USB com port. A few months ago I noticed that I...
Not disagreeing with what others have said but you might try a shallower depth of cut. At the end of a course thread, .002" infeed removes a lot of material.

The PP is written in JavaScript. There are a number of free JS manuals online that will help. Not criticizing just clarifying, here, as Java is a very different and more complex language.

I took the online course from gdandtbasics.com a few years ago and liked it.
It is self paced and self directed with little to no instructor interaction, though they will answer forum posts. The information is good and clearly presented with both video tutorials and written documents that are...
I have one for sale in Corvallis. I'm out of town through the new year but PM me your info and we can discuss. If you search my threads you'll find pictures of it on a thread I had posted to sell it.

Cars don't need to be palletized and crated with additional accessories. They also don't need to travel in an enclosed trailer and moved with a forklift. This is why they are in a different freight class than machine tools when arranging for LTL shipping. I'd expect the shipping to be more than...
On line N0030 you call G54 to specify your work offset. When you hit reset it likely cancels the G54 which you would have to reset if you want to restart mid-program.
I thought the same thing but just went to their site and it looks refreshed. The front page states "We are open for business and prepared to repair your gages." I see 2021 Copyright and pricelist with an estimated 3 week turnaround for test indicators so maybe things have changed. I doubt that...
Received the micrometers. They were shipped in a priority mail envelope with no boxes and no additional protection other than a thin paper envelope. A flat rate box would of cost $0.50 more (yet still be less than what he asked me for shipping) and with some care would have provided plenty of...
Shop I used to work with set up to do their own anodizing and nickel plating in house. They got it up and running after I left so I don't have a lot of details but I do know that consistency of color and dimension from batch to batch has been an issue. They use it for small batch prototyping...
Realize that a DV59 is what is called a 2nd Op lathe. It doesn't have power feeds or make single point threads. They can be found pretty cheap for that reason but are of limited usefulness.
