There is a Leader machine tools selling lathes out of India. There is also a Leader 1660 for sale on Ebay at this link
through Wheeler machinery sales. It has a lot of similarities to the OP's possible purchase.

Page 29 of the document that you find at this link shows a lathe similiar to yours. This catalogue is from 1911 and comes via the Vintage Machinery website.

Check out Boley lathes on Tony's site. German made lathes I had one and got the manual but sold the lathe 10 years ago and eventually got

I have a Van Norman #10 which is I believe quite similar to a #2. According to the sales bulletin on my mill the speeds
at the head are, 40/81/112/205/272/500 depending on which size pulley and whether in High/Low. Hope this helps
