Anyone need the Visual Grind System for a B&S Micromaster 618?

FYI- This is the optical path of the system. You get a "positive" image of the work and a silhouette of the wheel profile.

Anyone need the Visual Grind System for a B&S Micromaster 618?

I bought a Micromaster the other day that had the visual grind system- which is essentially an optical comparator (made by Cleveland Grinding Machine) that rides along with the table. I removed it in order to simplify moving the grinder. Now that I look at where I am going to put the machine...

FS: Jaw machining preloading adapter- Rivelica Out Lock 525 NC $300

This is essentially an inverted 3 jaw scroll chuck used to preload the jaws of a chuck while machining them in. I think most would use it for soft jaws, but I guess you could also grind true hard jaws. You can preload radially inward or outward at a range of clamping diameters so you can do ID...

    Info on Zeiss Eclipse CMMs

I am looking for information on Zeiss Eclipse CMMs. Anything in the line might be useful, but specifically I bought a 1996 2828-20/24 (Part 623062.9001.000) at auction that I would like to get functional. Not for resale, but to learn a few things and (hopefully!) use. I bought it for cheap...

Brown & Sharpe #13 Universal- ID Grinding Attachment

So Hendeyman has spoken for the dresser bracket and Turbowerks for the spindle. I still have no idea what the clamps are. They may not be for a #13 after all.

Continuous Radius and Tangent Wheel Truing Attachment I think this is the explanation for the bracket. Free to a good home- bracket only. https://i.imgur.com/zGnrMwV.png

Brown & Sharpe #13 Universal- ID Grinding Attachment

I did put a test indicator on the tip of the shaft, and there is about 0.001" TIR. I can't imagine any runout is good, and everything has some. But for those with ID grinding experience- how much would be tolerable before post-truing function is impaired? Thanks, Tim

Brown & Sharpe #13 Universal- ID Grinding Attachment

I have an internal grinding attachment for a Brown & Sharpe #13 universal- the ball bearing spindle, straddle-bracket, and then a couple of other bits that I assume are from the same machine since they have the V-and-flat table mount. Does anyone have a #13 universal for which they need an ID...

    Carbonate removal post-electrolysis

Greetings, Has anyone had success using sodium sesquicarbonate as suggested by Donny Hamilton et al. at Texas A&M to remove the black deposits that can happen during electrolytic rust removal? “If carbonate does precipitate on an object, it is usually impossible to brush off or remove by...

’98 Haas High speed machining vs 1000 blocks/sec

I need some help understanding the nomenclature for the purpose of evaluating the suitability of a used machine. I am planning on purchasing a ’98 Haas VF-OE but I am confused about the 1000 blocks/sec option that this one has. I assumed this was the high speed machining option with look ahead...
