    Can Zamag be soldered and then re-chromed?

    I have been asked to repair a 1955 "T" Bird wing window pivot hole, as it is all wobbled out. I have made a copper bushing, but the whole casting needs to be re-chromed. I do not know how to weld or braze Zamak, which is a zinc alloy. I hope somebody here knows. Thanks in advance.

    I know of no tests currently being performed to determine how to weld in space. I guess that does not mean they are not being done, it just means I don't know about them. Perhaps oxidation is not an issue, but maybe rapid weld cooling is. Thoughts?
