    finishing 4.75" walls in 6061

    Renishaw probe stuck battery tray

    Is it just me or is the battery tray a PIA to get out of the probe? It's this way on both my probes! Seen like they should have made the screw push it out when opening.

    Probe question-side and a bore

    Hi All, New to probing and was wondering how you would probe 1 side of a part for rotation then use a bore for location? Is there a program for just one side? i've only seen demos for using X and Y to get the angle. I assume you would then call G68 then probe the bore to locate? Thanks

    Hi All, Fairly new to Trunnions. When it's at A90 and I face the part, flip B 180 and face, the finish dimention is undersized. Checked tool offsets and they are all good.     servo amp melt down

    Anyone have an amp explode? Heard a loud bang and the machine shut off. On start up error 163 on the z axis. Pulled the drive and found this burned out section. Is it possible something upstream caused this or is it just a drive failure and needs to be replaced? Thanks

    How do you get your trunion in and out of your vf?

    I've been using a rolling engine hoist but the wheels don't fit under the sheet metal on the front of the machine so you can't quite get it over the table on a vf3.     b axis homed to different position

    I have TR160 that I got recently. I noticed that it has homed to 2 different positions on the B axis when running the start up routine. Anyone else seen this issue? Does haas use an absolute encoder on the B axis or is there a home sensor? It seems the only cause could be a loose part.

    Phase Perfect and the Haas 30 hp spindle

    I've seen a few threads where people had some issues with the 30 hp spindle with the phase perfect 20 hp. Who here has had success with their set-up? Sounds like the classic control works better because you can change the motor acceleration rates. Did this make a huge difference?

    I need to upgrade my TM2p 2012 for 5th axis and was wondering what is actually installed for the 8k price other than the servo amp. If it's just the amp why is it so much more than the 4th? Also if it is only the amp can I pick up a used one and connect it up and have it work? Anyone try this...
