    "cupped" cherry board

    i have apiece of cherry board 3/4 thick 7 in. wide and 6 ft long. it is cupped (i think that is what is called) anyway, it has a dip in the wood running lengthwise. at the lowest point, running the whole length it is about 3/16 in. is there a way to correct this??

    lubrication heavy 10

    asked this question on another site also. a friend worked as a tool & die maker in a shop where they used south bend lathes. he said that they used only 2 lubricants on the lathes. my guess is that one is the designated spindel oil, the other ?? what would the other lube? since the technology...

    i have a 14 in bandsaw. having trouble cutting with the 3/8 - 6 tooth blade. the wood is apple sections 10-15 in long; 6-8 in diameter. going to order a new 1/2 in blade. what should i get. hook or skip tooth? 3 or 4 tooth??
