I recently moved into a smaller shop at my house and need to make some room. I bought this mill to be a second machine and just can't justify the floorspace for 2 mills.
Asking $2400 or best offer.
Located in Cicero, NY. Forklift loading available.
XLO 602 Vertical Milling Maching - Serial #...
Recently purchased this 307 S12 Vertical
Serial 16/9261 - #16 of 40 units in lot 9261 from December 1962
I've been cleaning it up and checking operation. Spindle works, all 4 powerfeeds + rapid works, but speed control on the spindle has some issues and controls are not wired correctly...
Just bought this Kearney Trecker 307 S12 vertical. Serial 16/9261
Is someone able to give me year and approximate weight of this unit?

Looking for a steady rest for my Clausing 5914. Preferably roller bearing type.
Would alternatively take one for my South Bend 13 CLK145D
Have a boring job I need to get done that I'm not having much luck farming out.
Alternatively to either would gladly pay someone in the Central/Upstate NY...
Thanks for the info! I picked it up yesterday and met with the instructor who runs the program who informed me the lead screw isn't actually bent on this one and it was mistakenly on the ad. So that's great news.
He did however inform me that the belt slips occasionally and is joined with some...
Looking for a Backing plate and lathe chuck to fit a SB CLK415D 13" I'm picking up today. It's a secondary lathe and just looking for something to get it up and running with minimal investment for the time being.
Picking up a SB CLK145D I bought at auction tomorrow and trying to decide what to do with it. It's missing the backing plate and tool holder.
Looks like it takes a L00 backing plate and I've found some options for those with chucks, but not sure how good they are.
It also has a bent lead...
South Bend Vertical Knee Mill - 32" Table w/Powerfeed
Album of Pictures
This is a vertical knee mill very similar to a Bridgeport Mill from ~1965.
I purchased this from a local school and was going to keep it but just don't have the room. It operates on 3 phase, currently wired for 208V.
It...
Wondering if anyone has a reference for either of these machines?
The 8' Hydraulic Press Brake lists "SB" as the model, and 107047 as the serial. I emailed D&K and they only said it's obsolete and weren't able to provide any additional info.
The OBI Punch Press is made by V&O Press Co and is...
I think you're on to something there. Tail stock and apron look a lot closer. I'm also in Upstate NY, and I think the 4-jaw chuck is stamped 1920 Oneida NY. I still can't find a model that matches exact, but the apron/tail seem closer.
Any information I can get on this would be great. I picked it up last night. I got the 1920 4-jaw chuck along with a smaller retrofitted 3-jaw chuck that the previous owner purchased for it. It's been retrofitted with a 110vac motor.
Take a look, let me know what you think!
The jaw 4-chuck that came with it says it was made in Oneida NY in 1920, but I'm not sure that was original to the unit. Any information would be great. It's my first lathe and I'm hoping to be able to do some small projects on it.
Sorry for the confusion, that is measured on the spindle itself and the play is definitely in the spindle, not the quill. I was able to find the spindle bearings but I'm going to try and adjust them first... once I figure out how to do that.
I was able to get a new o-ring, and braking the table I was able to get it to seat in to the smaller land. I put it back together and there is absolutely no play, so that's great.
On to my next potential issue, the spindle doesn't look as true as it should and feels as though it has a little...
Andy and Ron,
Thanks for the responses. Sorry for the confusion, when I first disassembled the table, the small snap ring was sitting in the larger of the 2 grooves. The larger groove is too large and far back to hold the table where it would need to be. I think there is enough room (as you can...
I replaced the table nut and bearing on the table of my South Bend 3212 Vertical mill. When I took it apart, the small outer snap ring was floating around, and the only thing holding the table tight was the graduated dial. From these pictures, should the small snap ring be what holds everything...
