    OLD Mastercam x6 issues

So this probably won't get many responses as this software version is pretty old. Posted a program yesterday Op1 and Op2, both set to work offset -1 (first available), posted both out as G55...? Ok... changed them to offset 1 and 2 (54 and 55), then it posted them both as 54?!? WTF? Ok...

sppeds and feeds recomendation for crazy drill flex line

(Here's looking at you TeachMePlease) Anyone using the crazydrill flex line at 50x diameters? I've reached out to the manufacturer, but in the mean time thought I would look for opinions/advice here. We are going to be drilling some holes at .012" diameter x .45-.47" deep. Any ideas on...

How to find a member, search function or..?

I'm trying to find TeachmePlease (sp?). How do you look up a members name, didn't see anything under search, or I am just dumb... :cryin: Anyone (I know he does) doing tiny deep holes with advice for purchase/vendor, etc...? I am getting a quote from Mikron (again ...spelling?) :D for a .013"...

    PayPal scam email alert

OK, so I assume most here are savvy enough to not fall for this, but there appears to be a "new" PayPal scam email going out. It says something like "there has been suspicious activity on your account, please login and verify you are the owner of the credit card on file". I have received this...

Attn Mods: Can we get a ban on donie?

Yes, I know I can block him, but wouldn't it be better for a mod to ban him, or temp ban at least? He has contributed nothing lately except to jump in any thread thermite posts in and trash talk. I know we all have our moments, but this has been a relentless onslaught of CRAP. This site is...

    Question about 'professionalism'

OK, kind of a vent, but also a serious question. For the employees, would you consider it un-professional to find a note with a laundry list of "problems" and at the end it says Not Good underlined? I personally find it kind of shitty and going to talk with my boss about it. As to me, I rarely...

    Machine techs and their knowledge

Curious... What do you guys think *in general* about machine techs and what they do and do not know? I know Haas has a reputation about sending in parts changers instead of qualified people, wonder if other MTB's do that too? Anyways, just wondering as we have Haas techs out doing our new...

    1/32" x .188 LOC 4 flute

Is there some black magic ratio that does not want the title combo being made? I have tried Harvey, Robbjack, MSC offerings, Guhring, McMaster, and <gasp> even Grainger. Widia now and their website sucks, or running extra slow today.... edit: Don't really want to order a custom...

    Overtime

So who is working tomorrow? I know, prolly soon to be closed to chit chat nature... I am actually working tomorrow for a bit (and I am salary!!) Wondering how many people work regular overtime/Saturdays out of curiousity.... Many moons ago I worked a pretty regular 56 hour shift, 4...

    Cimco edit v5

Question for anyone using Cimco editor. Whenever I use the find/replace, the window pops up on the far right side. Is there a way to change this? I have the "remember window position" box checked, but I think that only applies to the main program window.

    web page coders

Maybe a stupid question, but ever notice when looking at some random garbage on the net with a page full of ads. The kind that usually make you scroll down and click "next" or "next page". Is the ad just above the button coded to delay for a second or 2 so when you are attempting to hit the next...

    website full " a lot"

Ok, so probably (really LoL) not fair to compare the beast that is Facebook, to this 'lowly' machinist site.... but this has to be the only website I have ever visited that gets "full" and I can't login? Anyone else notice this??

    Death of a pet

I know this will probably get closed due to "chit chat nature", but I need to share. Our 13 year old dog was diagnosed with cancer today (Friday). If he survives until Thursday, we are having him put down. What a shitty year 2020 is proving to be. :( Hopefully the trolls will leave this alone...

Question about post edit and pre-staging tools

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction for this. I need to modify my post for pre-staging tools in Mastercam for a Haas mill. I've done it years ago, but I forgot where to find one thing. I've set the switch for pre-stage to 1 for on, and edited (checked the box LoL) the control...

    Covid 19 and mask mandates

So, I thought I would start a new thread since the 'other one' is so far off track (not that I have hopes this one won't... :o). Anywho... How many people here are under mandatory masks in public now? Ours started Wed afternoon. 2 things irritate the shit out of me about this. 1) If you...
