    Centrifugal Barrel Tumbler

We are looking for a barrel finisher. 4 barrel seems to be good. We have found Mass Finishing MZ-40 and Richwood CV-600. The Richwood is gear driven, not belts, and considerably less money. Any one have any experience with these? Any other brands I should be aware of?

Looking for New CNC lathe, but smaller in size.

Too bad they don't make that Hardinge Elite 27MS. Seems like a good fit for me. 5C collets on both ends. Missed the bus here I think. I don't mind used at all, but not many Elites for sale. Only draw back for Elite is standard VDI turret.

Looking for New CNC lathe, but smaller in size.

I meant smaller parts. 1" or less. Little back work would be nice (sub spindle). Not much area to move around in rapid feed. That's one of the advantages of Swiss, small envelope, so things go quick. I like the speed of the Swiss, but again, it's for complex parts. Both Tsugami and Citizen have...

Looking for New CNC lathe, but smaller in size.

We're looking a smaller CNC lathe for smaller parts. We have (3) Hardinge Conquest 42's, one is a T42. Even these are a bit large. So when looking at what's available Swiss turning comes into play almost immediatly. These are great, but they are made for complex parts and even the least...

Smaller CNC lathe with sub spindle, small parts

We have been toying with a new machine. Checking a few, it immediately led us to Swiss style. This is great, but we are paying for a lot more machine than we need. Our parts are not complex. We currently have (3) Hardinge Conquest 42's, one is a T42. All have bar feed, two with live tooling...

    Part counting problems

Also having this issue. New to me 18t control. Nothing changes in the parts count. I can change the current time, no problem. But that's it. Really need to see total parts count and cycle time. Cycle time is not shown on the POS screen at all. Any help would be appreciated.

Hardinge Conquest with Fanuc 18-T, Parts Counter

Unfortunately, I can only edit the display if I get parts counter turned on.

Hardinge Conquest with Fanuc 18-T, Parts Counter

It's in there, I just think it needs to be turned on by a parameter. Machine came with a barfeed. What I really like is the display of the cycle time per part. Also the run time of the current program when running, but once you stop the machine, it returns to 0. It also continually adds to the...

Hardinge Conquest with Fanuc 18-T, Parts Counter

I'm sure it's somewhere in this forum, but I could not find. Bought a used Hardinge 1995 with 18-T control. There is a parts counter page, but it's all 0's. I was able to correct the current time, that was easy. I do really need the counter and also cycle time, we cannot see any of that and it's...

Hardinge Conquest 42 1991 OT "low lube alarm".

I have read previous post with the identical problem, with no real outcome. Low lube level comes up about every 19 minutes 40 seconds. I checked float on reservoir tank. It appears to be functioning properly, when it's down it opens the circuit, when it's up the circuit is closed and we have...

    Hardinge Conquest 42 OT control

Have two Hardinge Conquest 42, both early 90's vintage. These were very well built and I have had very little trouble with either one. I have had some turret issues with one. No live tooling. The turret had loosened up and would get "turret unclamp". Turns out it was a small pin you can access...

    Preci-matic 1440 lathe ...

My dad bought a 14 in Preci-Matic lathe in the mid 60's, brand new. He started with that and a new Kondia mill (like bridgeport). Company has grown, we now have 12 employees and 6 CNC's along with at least 20 manual milling machines and lathes. The Kondia and the Preci-Matic lathe are still...
