My Marposs was quite inaccurate on the new install of my 460-5ax. Turns out the stock sensor mount while machined nice was not perpendicular to the spindle. So the tool diameter influenced the readings. It wasn't adjustable like the renishaw ots.. so out came the big bendy tools. Little...
I have Remer and Pilot from SCT. The Pilot I have had it gall a few times in aluminum. We always kept some clearance. Probably operator error.. All the others I picked up reamer and they run nice. We don't use the reamer though. Might get the NO to see. We only run them in Alu.
We mainly use ER16 and ER20 standard from Mari
Roughing we use dual stubby ER32 or in later years the Hydraulic from Mari tool.
There are some ER11 and Er25 mixed in too. Not a fan of the SK but the Big Daishowa Holders are mean and cut nice on roughers too. (1/2" roughers is the largest...
Its a user setting Soft Limits. Just not sure why it is set that way.
Programing Manual (NC) SX1.pdf
3.8 Soft limit
Tool operation range is set by software.
Tool operation range is specified by one of the three methods below.
1. Set strokes by machine parameters.
2. Set stroke limit by...
Game changer
I am using the built in Probing with my Renishaw on the 560 and 460-5ax Works great Comping tools. Fusion even has part alignment but its a little clunkier than on the Haas.
Uses the renishaw easyset macros. My marposs uses the Okuma macro with a library file making the...
Mainly used to just turn it on and off with pass through after the roughing operations. Now I have been playing with Automatic in the Fusion post. It mostly works ok. Some toolpaths output a E0.0 that brings the machine to a crawl. need to work on that. So there is a Minimum.

On my Okumas..
M339 Through Air works while spindle rot=418685&hash=8b1a7be23d0baf9de9b395ff69186438']Attach filesating M3/M4
M59 Works without spindle rotation. M5
Maybe that helps.
I really wish some more of these Experts here would put out some great videos like PeterS .. Who has a Multus, Integrex etc or 5 axis???? We need to learn..
When they got rid of Online Licensing... I Refused renewal. Was planning to add a second seat for the new guy at the same time so it cost them 2x and the ridiculous mainintance.. Hellow Fusion360.
On my 560 (2016) we have had to bump the pressure in the back when using side air blast. (not much just make sure it stays above the .5 low limit when running the air) Otherwise we get that low pressure alarm. It seems to be flow through the regulator. I added a 5gal surge tank under the...
Back 10-15 years ago we bought a really slick Ercolina bender. 220v single phase to bend 1" .120 and .065 wall mild steel tube. (rated for 1" solid mild) Super slick. The operator loved it.
It kept burning up the boards or blowing fuses. They said it was power issue. Voltage Drop etc...
On My Haas machines we had to leave it empty after running them hard or they would stick in the spindle. On the Brother and the Okumas we never leave it empty to keep the chips out.
We made the CTS pump on the brother quick connect to the Genos 560 and 460-5ax. Requires air purge on tool change. Mine has air through tool already. We built the air into the tool change macro. Using the conveyor wash pump output. So no wiring was needed. Over buy on the filter...
The Brother Can be changed per position on the knob. My Okuma lathe goes to 200% rapid.. ( doesn't change speeds but makes you feel better at the end of a rush job Haha
I have an old ct40 socket that we just keep facing the end down when it gets bellmouthed. That might be a super cheap solution. If you get one really stuck in there one of the hammer / impact drivers that looks like a big screwdriver works great.
