Is that part cast or just 'sheet metal'?
To some, are machines just a tool that need to do the job.
For nerds like us, it hurts to see something like this [emoji16][emoji16]

Here in Denmark the "good old Vilhelm Pedersen" milling machines are long gone.
But the name lives on.
And now they 'make' thise.
And some are sold to trade schools here.
(It's a bit off topic I know). But there's still a marked for small manual mills in the trade school segment [emoji3526]...
Looking good [emoji16][emoji106][emoji123]
Nothing like a good old Czechoslovakia machine. [emoji123]

We use Biocircle SB100.
NSF approved, and sprayed on. Let is sit for a minute, and old grease and coolant run straight off..
It's more expensive, but it works brilliant [emoji106]

May I ask why you are so 'afraid' of having the lugs/keys on the spindle?
In my world, it doesn't matter. As long as there are two. And also beacuse the spindle speeds are relatively low, and the keys/mass are close to the center?
Close to all mills have thise from the factory, and it's not a...
I'm surprised you don't know about the Danish SR80.
SR80 Metaldrejebænke
The second owner of the shop is an old man now, and he's about to close the production.
After he took over the company, all lathes were build by him.
Hand scraped every single bed, and so on [emoji3526]
I have one, in...
They should be very easy to fabricate your own [emoji3526]
I've made several. Material shouldn't be super critical as the taper should take the most of the force [emoji3526]
Also any of thise mill will hardly be used for heavy milling or anything that should make the keys under pressure...
Hi
Sorry to interrupt [emoji3526]
I have a 1996 intos fngj20. Similar to the TOS I think
It been unused for 10 years.
I got it all working, - except the rapid-feed.
When feed is running in any axis, and I push the rapid button, the motor just stalls. It's like both feed and rapid feed runs...
Of course you can get D1-3 camlock direct mounted chucks. [emoji15][emoji849]
10 sec on Google will tell you so if you don't already know.
Röhm, bison and Pratt Burnerd as Colchester were delivered with. Just to mention some [emoji4]
Colchester - The world turns on Colchester lathes.
That's a heavy lathe for that motor [emoji16]
My 1000kg Colchester does have a 7.5hp motor as well [emoji16]
And for some Victor lathe info :
We have two at my work.
One is a from 1999. A 500x1500 and the other is same size, just older.
The new one have a timing belt for powering the...
I have spent MANY hours on different sizes of Colchesters.
All were very accurate and good running machines.
All were true UK made models, with some years on them.
We also have a M400 Harrison on my job. It's also a nice lathe, very similar to the Colchester, but in my book not any nicer to...
May I ask which tools you use?
I thought all were of the same standard.
Morse tapers, iso, R8 and Camlock style and so on?

I'm sure I write English better than you do Danish [emoji6]
I do know I have mis-spellings, incorrect use of word and/or where to place them.
But I recall write several times, - sorry for my bad English.
Never the less. I don't try to invent my own words and similar.
And yes, only 101 posts...
