Is over the safe speed limit message on NGC?
Does anyone happen to know if there is a way to supress the warning that comes up when manually entering a speed in MDI (ex. typing 8000 and then hitting the FWD button)? It pops up a warning "Main Spindle: 8000 RPM Is over the safe speed limit. Continue with commanded speed?" -

How to minimize walk-off on a gundrill?
Anyone have any tips for minimizing the amount long gundrills walk off? I'm wondering if there is some kind of trick with setting up the steady rest to minimize flex in the drill. Just ran some 20" parts with a 18" 1/4" hole that some walked pretty near .1 off from one end to the other. It... -

I just took a new job running two sinkers and a wire EDM, plus a mill to cut electrodes...my first machining job! The last EDM guy left to accommodate his wife moving out of state.
