I think sending a food truck at lunch time one day to shop #1 is more than sufficient here. Just rent the truck and call it a day. Workers would be more than happy.
Wonder what a SMART SW623 would run cost wise compared to those options.....saw a flyer recently only reason i brought it up. Has a Fanuc which could be optioned with manual guide i, I personally would think cam would be the right solution here. That said i have zero experience with bridge...
I may be missing this and it may have already been adressed but does the vmc have the trak control or the siemens control?
edit : NVM it is in the title my bad. :nutter:
Trying to machine a oval shaped flange od on a bushing prox 4.5" dia. Using Fusion 360 for this, the software only will let me start the profile from feeding in 5" below center, which obviously the lathe doe snot go that far below zero. If there a setting to move this? it is a contour tool...
Half our holders are dual contact, the other half are not. The Renishaw all of our machines came with from the dealer is not dual contact and they are 3 different brand machine's all with different dealers.
It has performed beyond our expectations. Holds tolerances better than +/-.0002 without a warm up cycle, more than enough power for large dia drilling, The live tool holders and tool blocks are all high quality from EWS . We would buy another. We own a samsung from 2017 and it is built fairly...
We do job shop work, cnc lathe mill grind, hone etc. No fabrication, Welding or Enginering. Send us a print we can quote anything from small parts to 63x30"x24" Located in MA.
We are actually expanding (double floor space & office, which has higher overhead and with the lack of qualified employees to add too many more machines for our normal work, this is actually what brought up the production or lights out idea. We already have updated all of our older equipment...
We do all job shop work but mostly power generation or gov stuff for much bigger companies. Our type of work is more niche so although there is competition, most of the time lead time and dimensionally correct are far more important than price. Our shop rate is double what some of the local...
Yeah thats not something im looking to deal with. Was thinking more like 100-1000pcs runs different parts ok, justs need to be worth setting up and running at night. Pretty confident we could find a customer out there somewhere, but we dont do work at xometrey type prices so there is that also.
We are a small job shop, well established & very busy with our current customers and honestly can not take on much more work without adding employes and machines. Adding the machines would be the easy part, the employees on the other hand are hard to come buy around our area. I have been...
We are a machine shop that recently brought in some bigger machines to do larger work. That said larger parts require more crating than we are used to. We have an older table saw we use for cutting our plywood however it is small and cutting 8ft sheets does take up a decent amount of floor...
As others have said, if you go to the deep hole drilling guide on the allied machine tool website, there is steps and speeds and feeds to start with for operations just like this. They recommend a pilot hole, thru coolont if possible also.
Fusion 360 you need to do two things, I've had this issue on our haas mills before (oddly enough it does not do it on the fanuc machines as bad). First is built in tolerence needs to be changed, its in the edit side of CAM software, change that to like .0001, second is you need to use a contour...
