I bought an SB 13 that has a broken hand wheel on the carriage/apron.
I've looked on ebay but none there.
Any suggestions on where I might find one?
Also, do any other sizes of SB lathes use the same size handwheel?
Thanks
Back story:
There was a machine auction last week and they sold an Electro Mechano drill press that the head was in pieces.
I have a good one just like it so I bid on it for parts.
Didn't get it.
I did get the gear box for it which got sold seperately.
I have it apart and a fiber gear inside...
I bought this chuck at an auction nearly a year ago. Looks like it's brand new.
I'd like to buy an MT3 arbor for it but don't know the nomenclature to get the right type.
It has - 34-33C 33 Taper - engraved on it.
Have other chucks that just use the JT taper but I would like to use the...

I am wanting to have a daisy wheel made for a Greenerd 3A arbor press.
I'd guess the best way would be to have one torch, laser or water cut on a CNC machine.

I ran Monarchs 50 years ago and always liked the brand but I sure don't know everything they built.
I get email alerts from Bidspotter when the brand shows up and this one came yesterday.
It looks like a smaĺl/mid sized lathe but with the MG/DC drive like the 10EEs have.
I wouldn't want one -...
Am posting the photos for posterity.
Wonder what the AA means.
Looks to be nicely tooled and has the upgraded cross slide dial and the travadial but that on the right end of the carriage.
I think on a lathe that size I would want the hand crank for the tailstock.
Based on the tag what is the likelihood this machine would also run on 220 3ph?
1) NO
2) Hell NO.
3) only with a transformer

I recently bought this arbor press.
It did not come with the round, notched press plate.
Am thinking about having one flame or water cut.
Does anyone here have one of these 3A presses that could measure their plate for me?

Might be worth checking out if someone is looking for one.
Question about the build and rpm plaques on these lathes:
Some look like cast aluminum, some appear to be cast bronze.
What, why and when?
Brought home some plunder from an estate sale yesterday.
Among the items was this dial caliper.
Zeus brand, made in Germany,. 300 mm ~ 12" capacity.
It looks to be a very fine tool.
I'm not finding much on the brand.
Anyone have some info on them?
I answered an ad on CL for some tooling.

I did some horse trading and got this.
What is the correct name for it?
It needs new stones. What are they called?
Where to buy them? What type and what grit? I have a bunch of brazed carbide tool bits I got at an auction. Should I get at least one diamond wheel?
