Taper attachment chip guard CAD files
I made up some chip guards out of an aluminum baking dish, and made a cad file of the template. You can 3d print the STL file and just roll with that if you want something quick and dirty, or use it as a template on a baking sheet like I did. the screws are wrong, I'll change them out later...- mooserov

3d print a jarno 12 taper with a boresight laser for headstock alignment
Yeah, this didn't really give me any good information. The headstock and bed were already scraped into alignment, and a test bar I cut proved it. The inaccuracy of the bore laser didn't matter, it just inscribed a circle instead of a dot. Oh well.- mooserov

I did a 16 cw a few years ago and don't recall any issues at all. Just very very dirty. If I were to do it over I would soak everything in kerosene for a couple of days. Weapons grade dirty.- mooserov

10EE VFD wiring suggestions for ELSR and drum switch
This is an attempt to copy the stock ELSR logic operation with a VFD. Handles and cams all run the same way, but the 'neutral' position switch is un-needed by the VFD. I'm reasonably certain that this bushing came with an assortment of Monarch bits and bobs I purchased off Ebay a year ago, and not off this lathe. I restored a '43 16cw before the 10ee and needed some correct hardware. I double checked all my fasteners that I have remaining, and I don't have...- mooserov

Finally getting close to the end of this rebuild, 2 years into a 6 month resto. As I'm filling various parts of the lathe with oil to chase leaks, I overfill the spindle area and quickly realize the drain line isn't hooked up. Thanks for the suggestion! I pulled the flat pulley wheel and it isn't that bushing. There are a couple like that in the apron, but I would have noticed one missing when I reassembled it.
