I am wondering if I have a neutral tuning tool (VNMG for example) and use tool probe in Integrex to measure A and B in tool data (tool set as 45 Deg. while measuring). if I wish to run the tool on 0 degree, how do I set the tool in the CAM software should I consider if the tool run with 0 deg...
I have never used the high-pressure coolant before, anyway we have one machine that includes high pressure-coolant pump we run M 131 M100 to 106 to control the pressure. I plan to use the high-pressure while drilling.
As first time we use it.
Is there anything related to safety need to be...
I am using a carbide drill on 4130 material with high feed and speed, everything is ok and the chips are flying away, but with that we still use a peck drill cycle
1- I am wondering does the peck has any benefits while drilling by carbide?
2- Will the peck cycle hurt the tip of the drill...

Hi
For VCN machine we have Renishaw Inspection Plus software, however in Fanuc I use probe cycles for updating the WCS i was building the cycle starting from select the WCS and positioning then protected move after that start the cycle, that the usual way I was doing in Fanuc, in Mazak new...

Hi
If I use G41 the geometric tool offset value will be the radius of the tool, I saw some machines they use the diameter in the geometric tool offset while using G41 I want to understand how they use the diameter ? is this related to the machine or programming way?
Thanks
We have Integrex machine with sub-spindle that come with W-axis thrust feature which can works as either live/dead center.
I don’t have experience on that so my plan is to work with that as dead center where RB54= bit 0
Just to ask regarding the way to attach the center to chuck:
Soft jaws to...
what will happen to the machine if the operator clamp both spindles (main & sub) on the workpiece and start rotate them tougher (using the manual override not M code ) without sync them ( use M511 or M512) ?
We have long part 82" require to do turn from Dia. 5.1" to Dia. 4.8" . Our machine does has two spindles and steady rest and spindle bore.
What is the optimum way to machine that long part? is it to make stations for steady rest then clamp, machine, unclamp, move, clamp again .. etc...
I got drawing that mentioned the thread is 6.925 – 8 TPI UNS as per ANSI/ASME B1.1 . However, when I back to the book I didn’t find that in the tables but anyway the drawing mention all required dimensions: major, minor and pitch. My question is the UNS profile is the same of UN profile of...
Hi
We have 45 deg. CNMG holder, we take tool length offset while the B-axis in 45 deg. and during turning we run the tool with 45 deg. always
I saw this tool today https://www.secotools.com/article/p_10070309 neutral tool for VBMT insert, I believe if we tilt the B axis the tool can be running...
