Best sealant for interior of CNC machine?
All new Haas VF models come with tubes of Sikaflex. I've installed 5 so far and all of them came with a couple tubes. Sikaflex is good for machines that have constant coolant exposure and I have started using it on lasertube cutters and other different types of equipment and it lasts.- bamabo

adjusting half nuts on a 10EE
I have a couple of these in my shop and there's no way to adjust the half nuts without separating the apron from the carriage. Union vs non union shops...
As a former member of the ironworkers, Steelworkers and eventually the UAW, I can say that i have never had help from any one of them when i needed it. Paying dues for the head guy to take lavish vacations never appealed to me. I am happily non-union now and love it.- bamabo

Monarch 612 hydraulic motor phasing/rotation question
As far as rotation, most new pumps will have a rotation indicator, but you can also go by the pressure gauge and see what your idle pressure is and compare the two, which the right one will obviously be the highest pressure. Carbide Chop Saw or Cold Saw?
It's hard to beat a cold saw, especially the Haberle 350. The blades are pricy but if you take care of them you can resharpen them over and over. What gun and media for shot blasting cast iron?
Black beauty is an ideal media for cast. For aesthetics, it makes cast look good. I have a Clemco blast unit that is super dependable. I think they make a smaller, portable type for small jobs. -

Lodge and Shipley Powershift issues
I have a Lodge and Shipley powershift with the hydraulic gear shifters. I am having issues with the individual shifters inside the headstock not shifting from low to high gear.Anyone have an idea of where to get parts if possible?
