    Tail stock I have had good luck moving the tail stock towards me and using a dial indicator so I can move it back where it was . #3 Taper per foot .60235 divide by two = .301175 6 inch work piece divide by 12 = .5 x .301175 = .1505875 I think I have ben moving the tail stock .1505

    I understand the year your lathe was made is cast into the bed frame under the serial # on the inside between ways . I'm new to lathes my self .
