Stupid question but I Can’t get ID turning right. I cannot get this machine to do what I need it to do
I have asked the guys around here but most of them are old school and really don’t talk much to anyone. It doesn’t help that I’m on 2nd shift with like 3 people in the shop.- Paull1979

Ok guys I’m new to the lathe game and can’t wrap my head around the wear offset for ID turning. I would assume to go to a smaller ID say go from 9.500 to 9.499 i would go to the negative side correct? Or am I wrong- Paull1979

Fusion 360 vs. Mastercam
I actually went and purchased a license for solidworks/solidcam. And I tell you what this is where it is at. Solidworks is not as easy to use as fusion to me but damn the cam programming part of it is a no brainer. You just got to make sure some parameters are correct and it does it all for you... -
