You didn’t even bother looking at the link I posted where it showed creating g code and other stuff related to the process of going from cad to machining.
What parts of your day to day are you dragging your feet on doing? Could you find someone to take those parts of the day to day grind off your plate?outside book keeper? office/shop cleaning?
I have a Lathe with a 8055T control, sounds like its different then the 8055TC.
Your part Z:0 should have nothing nothing to do with setting the tool zero. On mine, I can set the work Z or the tool z in any order I want. Before or after setting the tools it doesn't matter.

Use google and search youtube. You will be way down the rabbit hole as far as cnc machining and programming before you know it.

I have broached several thousand 3/8” squares in 1018 hex bar, 1/2” deep through hole, nothing fancy but have always had good results.
If you don’t need super super sharp corners an almost invisible corner radius made a single broach do a 1000 parts in a single run. Was for a 3/8” ratchet...

I am happy to see I am not the only one that has some rust or dried coolant spots on their vises and machines. All the super pretty shops and super clean machines from the Youtube machinist always has me feeling down on myself.

I have been doing my designs in solidworks, save as step file and drag right into the bambu slicer. I want to get a more "art" type program eventually for more organic shapes for 3d prints and fun stuff.
It’s a real pain when the real manufacturing that is trying to be done, is treated like the red headed step child glamorous industries like movie production get every tax break they can thrown at them
