Yet another gerstner clone
I know I said I wasn't going to make any more tool boxes but I found a few curly maple boards in my pile I didn't even know I had. The figure was so stark I had to do something with them. OT. Battery charger schematic.
I want to revive these Marquette battery chargers. Both look to be from the 50's or 60's. A schematic would be helpful. Any one have a lead on paper work. The R2D2 looking round guy is a model 215 and the square guy a 322.........Bob -

Darex M-5 info needed
Looking at a used Darex M-5 and need to be educated. Has 2 chucks and some kind of diamond wheels. How many chucks should it come with? Parts available? Decent machine? I haven't looked at it in person yet. Any heads up appreciated.............Bob -

Cincinnati VTL brought home.
My neighbor and his son bought this VTL at auction last week. Local riggers quoted $6500 for a crane and the 12 mile move. I wasn't planning to make anymore but I was re-stacking one of my wood piles when I stumbled on a few long forgotten rough cut cherry boards I'd picked from a local mom and pop saw mill...- bhigdog

substitute for Formby tung oil
Formby no longer sells their tung oil finish. I think it actually was a wiping polyurethane. I tried a few other "tung oil" finishes and don't like any of them. Has anyone discovered a good replacement for formby? It's still available on Ebay as old stock but at eye watering prices..Bob- bhigdog

Hyd cylinder repair
My son bent the ram on a hyd cylinder. 1" dia X 32" stroke. Bent maybe 1" out of true. Just as a quick general question are rams of that size generally straightenable or best to just scrap it and not to waste the time trying..........Bob -

Way OT: Refrigerator temp control calibration

Wiring caps to a 5HP motor

Bushing into nylon press fit question..........
I need to press an oilite bushing into a nylon gear. Gear hole measures 1.000. Bushing OD measures 1.003, ID .562. Is that too much of a press or am I good to go. Any danger of splitting the gear. Is warming the gear a good idea? Thanks..........Bob -

Volstro rotary mill collet wanted

Silver brazing cast iron
